Tags play an important role in the test and tag programs. As well as displaying the outcome of inspection and testing, PASS / FAIL, they also provide details about who checked the appliance, when the appliance was last checked and when it is due to be rechecked. Incorrectly completed tags can put workers at risk of electric shock injuries and could render your test and tag program as being non-compliant.
These two tags were recently spotted by one of our field technicians when visiting new clients. Can you spot the issues that make them non-compliant?
The green tag (left side) is non-compliant for two main reasons. The red tag (right side) shows the appliance was long overdue for retesting, however can you see the detail that makes the tag non-compliant?
