Learn How To Test Residual Current Devices to AS/NZS 3760
Residual current device (RCDs) are also known as Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers, Residual Current Circuit Breakers and Safety Switches.
RCDs are important safety devices. They are widely recognised as being highly effective in preventing injuries and fatalities that can result from electric shock incidents. However, they are frequently overlooked when testing and tagging programs are being developed. This is often due to the mistaken belief current overload devices, such as fuses and circuit breakers, perform the same safety function.
Including residual current device testing in your testing and tagging skill set not only adds value to what you do but further enhances your ability to improve workplace safety.
This online course covers several approved methods you can use to inspect and test RCDs according to the requirements of AS/NZS 3760.

Some Quick FAQs About This Course
Meet Your Trainer
Due to his extensive and broad experience that began during 2004, John is recognised as an expert in the test and tag industry. His experience began when he was a member of his local VicSES (Victorian State Emergency Service) unit and was responsible for maintaining their response equipment. As you can imagine, the reliability of emergency safety equipment is vital and John learned a lot about appliance testing as part of this role.
During 2007 John founded ACME Test and Tagging to provide test and tag services to workplaces across the Greater Melbourne area. Starting from scratch with no leads, no clients and no revenue, he quickly built a thriving business mainly due to his dedication to the core values of being fair, friendly and reliable.
Since starting the training programs during 2015 John has helped hundreds of people become test and tag certified. Now you can complete his online test and tag course, anywhere across Australia.
